So, what is Sounds From the Spare Room all about? Want to know more about us? You came to the right place.

Sounds from the Spare Room began in early 2021. At the time, a small group of musicians and artists wanted to keep creating music during the worldwide pandemic. Lockdowns had put a pause on the live entertainment industry, so we built our own way forward.

At its core, Sounds from the Spare Room is an artist collective. It is a vibrant creative community and a collaborative space where indie musicians, songwriters, and producers meet. Together, artists from across genres explore new sounds, share ideas, and push their music further. As a result, the collective has become a hub for music collaboration, artist development, and recording studio innovation.

What started as friends making music for fun soon expanded. More artists joined, new fans discovered our work, and our methods grew stronger. Over time, we developed efficient songwriting sessions, immersive production projects, live streaming shows, and digital distribution strategies. In addition, we built new ways to promote music tailored for today’s audiences.

To amplify our reach, we also began releasing original tracks, collaborative EPs, and curated compilations. These highlight our genre-blending style—from ambient to indie, electronic to acoustic. Furthermore, we now engage in both local and online music scenes. We host workshops, co-writing sessions, and live-streamed performances designed to support and inspire emerging talent.

Over time, the collective has brought in more artists and gathered more fans. We’ve refined better, more efficient ways to write, perform, produce, publish, distribute, and promote music.
